In conversation with Vanessa on Destination Indonesia for Wedding Tourism.

Vanessa Hutter of Eventures based in Bali is a gorgeous looking ever smiling face who transfers her positive aura into weddings and she possess a passionate and energetic team who are like underprops to create your Dream celebrations!

WT: Vanessa, we are wowed with the energy you behold! Tell us about Eventures and its beginnings?

VH: Vishal, my partner, and I were actually based in Jakarta and we were planning wedding in Jakarta and Bali, however due to the many destination wedding inquiries, we shifted to Bali and started focusing on those who were looking to get married in Bali. As you know Bali is known for it’s many beautiful location and resorts for weddings, so we thought, why not move here 🙂 We now mainly do destination weddings and we are expanding to Southeast Asia as well.

WT: Indonesia is scaling up attracting new properties specially to accommodate Indian Wedding size off which Bali has seen many. Could you tell us other destinations in Indonesia for wedding tourism. (Indonesia comprises more than 1000 islands, the unexplored destinations?)

VH: There are other locations such as Jogjakarta and Lombok that are common considerations for destination weddings, however as Indian weddings are usually on a larger scale, resorts in these location are sometimes not able to accommodate in terms of size and diversity of venues.

WT: Indonesia has timeless heritage. Are there any sites where celebrations can be done on special permissions?

VH: Definitely! Spaces like Garuda Wisnu Kencana in Bali or the surroundings of the Borobudur temple near Jogjakarta can be used as venues for Sangeet or even the pheras. They would logistically require a lot of work since everything will need to be built from scratch.

WT: Are there any indian restaurants that are well known for outdoor catering?

VH: The are several Indian catering chains in Bali that are used to catering for weddings and sometimes caterers are also flown in from either Jakarta or India.

WT: Tell us about what services you offer?

VH: Our services are as wedding planners and organisers. We will recommend our clients with the vendors they need and guide them through the whole wedding process. We provide a very customised service since each couple has different wants and needs which makes what we do so much more interesting and challenging.

WT: You do destination weddings. Could you tell us which locations you cover?

VH: We currently cover Southeast Asia focusing on Bali and Thailand but we are definitely open to explore other destination.

WT: What’s your USP?

VH: We try to customize our services to fit our couple as much as possible – not only in terms of style or budget, but we mould our way of working to suit what works best for our client. We also believe that destination weddings can be great when those attending it are happy, hence during the events, not only we try our best to have flawless events, we also want to provide as much hospitality as possible to those attending the wedding.

WT: Are there any cruise line for celebrating the private affairs?

VH: Certain companies can accommodate private events depending on the amount of guests.

WT: What do you like about Indian Weddings?

VH: Everything! We mostly enjoy the diverse culture that we experience during each wedding – it’s almost never the same!

WT: Eventures are celebration specialists and your most reliable partners? Can you elaborate on this?

VH: A wedding is a celebration for everyone, including us. We’ll most probably end up being your best friend by the time the wedding arrives 🙂 We also believe that our whole team is passionate about what they do including those who we work with and recommend to our bride and grooms.
